Major Research Project: A Mandated Narrative

This course confirmed my desire to do conflict studies after graduation. I particularly liked the focus on modern warfare, and how the motivations for warfare have changed over time, and are now very connected to nationalism. I also appreciated the focus on social causes of war, rather than a more militaristic view which is often taken in courses focused on wars. For my research project I focused on censorship as a form of propaganda.
