As with most disciplines, there is a mandatory methodology course which all POST students have to take. I chose to take this class one year early, and loved it, appreciating the levity brought by the instructor. While the content of the class was not groundbreaking, it did provide a valuable refresher on how to conduct good, ethical political research. Additionally, I got to conduct research for my project, something which I enjoyed. As a person who wishes to continue in academia, and thus do more and more research, I appreciated the thorough baseline that this class provided in research within political studies.
