Crafting Your Search Strategy: Keywords

Once you have a solid research question, your next step is translation. You need to take your question’s language and translate it into language understood by the resource you are searching. Your search will be far more effective if you use language recognized by your source(s). Don’t worry, it’s far easier than those Grade 9 French classes ~ with help available along the way!

We will use a common, generic question to illustrate the various steps in crafting a search strategy:

How has social media affected the motivation of post-secondary students?
