3 International Students- Work Permit Information
As an International Student Participating in a Work-Integrated Learning Activity (Co-op Work Term, Field/Practicum/Clinical Placement, or Service-Learning Activity) you will be required to have a Co-op Work Permit (CWP).
1. Valid Co-op Work Permit Requirement:
- You must have a valid Co-op Work Permit issued by Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or proof that you have applied for your Co-op Work Permit before going out on placement.
2.Have You Already Applied for a Work Permit?
- If you have already applied, you do not need to re-apply.
- Upload a copy of your proof of application through the Work Permit webform.
3. Verified Application and Work Hours:
- If your application is verified, you can work up to 24 hours/week
- If you have a valid Work Permit, you can work up to 40 hours/week during placement.
4.Received Your Valid Co-op Work Permit?
- If you have received your valid Co-op Work Permit with dates covering your placement, you do not need to re-apply.
- Upload a copy of your valid Co-op Work Permit into the Work Permit webform.
