Placement Readiness Requirements
Non Academic Requirements
The student is required to complete all the Non Academic Requirements to participate in a Field Placement experience. It is the individual sites responsibility to check these requirements and validate the Vulnerable Sector Check.
List of Non Academic Requirements:
- Vulnerable Sector Check (date must be within 6 months of the placement start date)
- Immunizations (Hepatitis B, Polio/Diphtheria/Pertussis, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, Measles/ Mumps/Rubella and Varicella)
- Health Assessment
- Two Step Tuberculin Skin Test – TB (upon entry into the ECE Program)
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (or exemption proof)
- WHMIS Training
- Fire Training
- Workplace Harassment and Violence Training
- Worker Health and Safety Training
- AODA Training
- WSIB Consent

Student Field Placement Binder
The student is responsible to compile a Field Placement binder to use for all Field Placements in the ECE Program. During the orientation with the Field Placement Site, the student will share the Field Placement binder highlighting all the requirements completed.
List of Documents:
- All Original Non Academic Requirements Forms and Proof of completion (see list above for details)
- Current Resume and References
- Current Picture Profile (student introduction to post at the site)
- Learning Outcomes Feedback Form and Field Placement Mentor Letter (the student is required to provide a hard copy to the Field Placement Mentor)
