Objectives

  • Increase awareness and recognition of microaggressions, particularly towards Indigenous employees.
  • Understand the impact of these subtle biases on the emotional, psychological, and professional well-being of Indigenous individuals and other minority groups.
  • Cultivate empathy, sensitivity, and respect in communication and interactions, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Equip individuals with actionable strategies to address and instances of microaggressive behaviour.
  • Foster a workplace environment that promotes inclusivity, advocates for change, and supports diversity and respect for all employees.

  • Recognize and categorize workplace microaggressions, particularly those targeting Indigenous employees.
  • Understand the impact of microaggressions on the emotional and professional well-being of Indigenous individuals and minority communities.
  • Foster sensitivity and awareness, promoting respectful communication and valuing diversity beyond appearances.
  • Take action by using actionable strategies to address microaggressions at an individual level and support an inclusive workplace culture.
