Committing to Microaggression Prevention in Your Workplace

Addressing microaggressions involves taking steps to prevent them and also responding when you encounter one – to yourself or others. To prevent causing microaggressions, it’s important to pause, question your biases and reframe your perspective. Take a moment before making assumptions, asking personal questions, or describing people based on stereotypes. Reflect on whether your biases are influencing your thoughts and actions. Educate yourself about other cultures and challenge your own privileges and biases.

It fosters a deeper understanding of the significance of creating an environment that is free from microaggressions. This letter represents a dedication to self-improvement, continuous learning, and advocacy for an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
