Self-assessment Activity: Understanding Primordial Prevention within an Indigenous Context

This activity will help with understanding primordial prevention as it relates to the clinical setting in which you work. It will also help you identify ways of strengthening and promoting primordial prevention among your Indigenous women patients.

Before you begin this activity, make sure you have watched, “Healing the Hurt”, a two-part video series documenting Indigenous mothers’ experiences receiving health care in Hamilton, ON, Canada. Here is an opening statement about the videos:
