Attending Conferences and Presenting your Work

Section Written by: Alice Cavanaugh

Academic conferences are an exciting (and sometimes intimidating) aspect of graduate student life.  Attending and presenting at academic conferences gives you an opportunity to share your ideas, get feedback on your work, connect with colleagues and build your CV. The advice and resources in this section of the Graduate Communications Toolkit are designed to support you in submitting your research to conferences, creating your poster or presentation after you’ve been accepted, and navigating conference expectations for trainees once you are on the ground.
