If you would like support with the application, please let us know. The CICE team will review the Grad List, once published.

Grad FAQ

(these should help answer many of your questions before the big day!)

Where do I go? Meet the LFs in room J025, the classroom will be open from a predetermined time. We will have a photo booth set up for photos! Grad’s must arrive no later than an half an hour early as we will need to go together to prepare for your ceremony.

What can I bring with me? If you have any belongings with you (purses, hats, etc.) you will not be allowed to wear them for the ceremony. Please leave them with a family member/ support person to keep track of them for you.

Where do we go at our meeting time? Together, we will walk down to room C066 for the Graduation Registration. You will get a name card and gown and prepare to line up for entrance into the theatre.

What do I wear? Students typically wear business casual as this is a formal occasion. Usually, that means a nice button down shirt or blouse, long pants or a dress but please just wear whatever you are comfortable in! If you’re not sure what would be appropriate, try and think back to our interview outfits.  It does get hot under the grad gown so we suggest you choose a light fabric (no jackets or sweaters).

Grad Gown/Liripipe  (important!)  You must return these to room C066 after the ceremony is over and when you exit the theatre. There will be volunteers showing you were to go and the LFs will be there after the ceremony as well. If you do not return them, there is a fee that you will be asked to pay.

How long is the ceremony? It will be approximately 1 and a half hours.

Do I pay for parking? No, it is free.

What if I don’t have enough tickets for my family? All ceremonies will be live streamed and recorded so family members or grads who cannot come can watch the ceremonies anytime. Links will be posted on the main Mohawk College website during convocation week.

You can request extra tickets (if available) on a specific date by accessing the Convocation ticket request site (MyMohawk, Academics, Graduation Channel, Request Extra Tickets)
