How to make a matrix numerical variables:

1. When you wish to make a matrix with word(s), first make a variable containing the word(s) you wish to
use. (note: ensure that the word(s) are between apostrophes for example ‘hello everyone’)

2. Next press enter on your keyboard and it should appear in the command window and workspace section.

3. Next to make a matrix simply type b(2, :)=b(1, 🙂 into the command window. ( note: the numbers 2 and 1
represent the row numbers and the colon is to represent the elements in the columns. The 2×14 char array
represents the number of rows and characters in each row. A space also counts as a character.)

4. If you would like to add more rows with something different you must ensure that it contains the same
amount of characters as the previous rows. Once you have confirmed this simply type it into the command
window following the same format as above.
