Chapter 4: Coming Soon

Imagine strolling through an apple orchard to pick some apples. You put one foot in front of the other to walk towards the trees and reach up your arm to find the perfect apple. Once you pick your favourite apple, you bring it up to your mouth to savor its sweetness.

Without realizing it, this stroll down the orchard requires the interaction of several muscles to achieve key functions like walking, raising your hand, and grasping with your hands. These movements require the complex interaction of many muscles working together to achieve each key movement which will be addressed this chapter.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify the basic structure of all muscles
  2. Demonstrate competency of anatomical movements
  3. Explain all types of bone fractures
  4. Compare the 3 types of joints
  5. Identify musculature from shoulder to forearm
  6. Identify musculature within the wrist and hand
  7. Identify musculature of trunk and abdomen
  8. Identify musculature from hip to thigh
  9. Identify musculature from the thigh to foot
