Getting Started!

Welcome to my nursing journey! Over the next two years, I invite you to join me as I work toward completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Trent University. My name is Lauren Bell and I am in my first year of the compressed nursing program here at Trent University. I am 22 years old and grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. Prior to beginning my nursing studies, I spent four years at the University of Waterloo, where I earned a degree in Honors Health Science with a minor in Psychology. It wasn’t until last year after deep reflection that I felt a calling to pursue nursing, a profession that combines my passion for health and my goal of making a positive impact of people’s lives. Through this portfolio I intend to share the beliefs and values that guide me in life, outline my goals for my nursing journey and showcase artifacts that represent key achievements and milestones in my path to becoming a registered nurse. Join me as I begin my portfolio in my first class NURS 1001, Nursing as a Profession.
