Fanshawe is excited to announce that, beginning in January 2025, the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business will re-launch the Professional Accounting Graduate Certificate Program (PAC2). The PAC2 is a two-year program. Students will complete three academic semesters followed by a co-op work term. The program is designed for students with an existing degree looking for a career in professional accounting. Courses will be enriched with hands-on integrated technology applications and case studies based on real-world scenarios.
Further real-world industry exposure will be maximized with guest speakers and hands-on projects. The program is designed to integrate all course topics and to develop students’ critical thinking skills, research skills, and decision-making skills. The curriculum will be delivered in an in-class format with two intakes per year (January and September).
Unique Program Experiences
Students will develop specialized skills and knowledge of core accounting principles and extensively use Microsoft Excel and other industry-standard accounting software.
The PAC2 program is aligned with the Canadian Professional Accountant (CPA PREP) Preparatory requirements. Students who complete the CPA Preparatory courses and have a degree are eligible for admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). The PEP program is the final step towards becoming a CPA.
