I am a 2023 graduate of the Business Insurance program at Fanshawe. I entered the program seeking a stable, second-career option. Not only did I find the stability and work-life balance I desired, but a dynamic and uniquely challenging industry that I am proud to be a part of today. My career would not be possible if it were not for the BIN Program at Fanshawe.

A hallmark of the program is supportive professors who are currently employed within varying areas of the industry. These career veterans were able to bring real-world experiences into the classroom through modern perspectives and case studies that reflect the current state of the insurance industry. Classes were engaging and offered many opportunities to participate in discussions, receive feedback, and collaborate with others soon entering the industry.
Fanshawe also provided opportunities to network with those currently in the insurance industry. I personally attended Meet the Industry night, coffee chats with industry professionals, career fairs, mock interviews, and various workshops. Not only did these opportunities allow me to expand my knowledge of the industry as a whole, but to meet individuals that I would be connecting with in the future.

Through the Business Insurance career fair at Fanshawe, I met my future employer and was fortunate enough to have a job offer before I graduated. Additionally, I was able to successfully complete 9/10 CIP exams during my time in the program. Not only was I able to enter the industry immediately upon graduation, I was able to do so with immense confidence in my foundational knowledge.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities provided by Fanshawe and the BIN program. I would highly recommend this program again and again!” – Kayle Stone
