Immerse yourself in the world of personal finance in this two-year diploma program and get on track for an exciting career in Canada’s financial services industry. Covering the six fundamental areas of personal finance: financial management, investment planning, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management, this program equips students with the skills needed to work in retail banking, insurance, and investing. With preparation provided for a multitude of industry licensing exams and designations, your pathway into the industry is promising.
Throughout the program, you will be provided with opportunities to combine theoretical knowledge with practical approaches to solving real financial problems for clients surrounding their wealth. Through assignments, client role-plays and case competitions, you will be armed with skills in problem-solving, social intelligence, and implementing financial plans to make building and servicing client relationships a challenge you are ready for.

Financial Planning Case Competition
A signature learning experience for students. Working in teams, students craft comprehensive financial plans based on the advanced concepts gained in their studies. Student teams hone their presentation skills and pitch their recommendations to a panel of industry judges.
