Fanshawe is excited to announce that, beginning in January 2025, the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business will re-launch the Professional Accounting Graduate Certificate Program (PAC2).
The PAC2 is a two-year program. Students will complete three academic semesters followed by a co-op work term. The program is designed for students with an existing degree looking for a career in professional accounting. Courses will be enriched with hands-on integrated technology applications and case studies based on real-world scenarios. Further real-world industry exposure will be maximized with guest speakers and hands-on projects. The program is designed to integrate all course topics and to develop students’ critical thinking skills, research skills, and decision-making skills.
Students will develop specialized skills and knowledge of core accounting principles and make extensive use of Microsoft Excel and other industry-standard accounting software.
The curriculum will be delivered in an in-class format with two intakes per year (January and September).
In addition, the PAC2 program team has re-aligned the courses to now meet the Canadian Professional Accountant (CPA PREP) Preparatory requirements. Students that successfully complete the CPA Preparatory courses and have a degree are eligible for admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). The PEP program is the final step towards becoming a CPA.
