Customer Service Fundamentals – Insurance – CSI1

Introduction

Customer Service Fundamentals – Insurance is a one-year Ontario College Certificate program. This program is designed to give students an overview of business and insurance theory and practice with a focus on customer service and distribution systems.

Role entails:

Sample Job 2: Underwriting Assistant

Role entails:

  • Sound judgement
  • Assists underwriters in processing renewals and endorsements, while handling straightforward requests of the same
  • Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously.
  • Apply underwriting strategies in accordance with company guidelines and personal underwriting authorities

Sample Job 3: Field Claims Representative

Role entails:

  • Evaluate and analyze the information gathered, insurance wording, and damages to determine what is covered in each situation.
  • Evaluate the potential liability of the insured and third parties by consulting with experts.
  • Negotiate with clients, claimants, attorneys, and insurers to settle claims within your authority.
