Operations Management is a key area in business that touches all aspects of an organization. It is a field with lots of opportunities, especially related to processes, people and technology. Operational efficiency, effectiveness and optimization are differentiators in a global and competitive business world. The public sector and not for profit organizations also have a need for operational excellence to reach their goals.

Unique Program Experiences

OPM students work with a variety of live-clients to identify and analyze their operations challenges and then recommend and propose potential solutions. This semester long project in Level 2 applies everything that is previously learned in Level 1 while applying everything that is concurrently learned in the other Level 2 courses.

Student Examples

  • Sahil Bhattal completed OPM in 2018 and now works at General Dynamics. After several promotions, Sahil is currently a Team Lead.
  • Lunce Dowdie, originally from the Caribbean, completed OPM in 2022 and was given the Fanshawe College Distinguished Student Award. Lunce is currently the Engineering Manager at Exquis App Factory.
