This diploma in accounting will teach you how to examine business from multiple angles and how to maximize your unique skill set. Industry professionals who work in the business accounting field will teach you how to balance the books in the manufacturing and merchandising sectors, banks, and other financial institutions. You’ll also learn how to analyze numbers in public accounting firms and federal, provincial, and municipal government offices by using cutting-edge accounting software.

Our insurance courses will teach you the fundamentals of insurance and you’ll study underwriting, claims investigation, risk analysis and contracts which will prepare you for a range of entry to junior-level career paths in this growing industry.

The business human resources diploma program is about finding value in people. You’ll learn business basics first – accounting, marketing and computer applications. You’ll study labour relations, compensation, benefits, recruitment and training. In your last semester, in-class students will be mentored by people in the industry, in real HR departments. You’ll make connections – networking with your classmates, professors and HR professionals. Upon completion, you’ll have developed a diverse career portfolio for the dynamic HR world.

This two-year operations and supply chain co-op diploma program will ensure you are prepared to join private or public sectors in this demanding field. Our supply chain co-op program will cover business theories and allow you to put them into practice. A paid co-op work term will provide you with valuable work experience for your resume. You will also examine goods and services sourcing, transportation methods, inventory techniques, retail management, analytical techniques as well as develop your negotiation skills.

This program utilizes a case-based approach across the curriculum to expose students to real-life scenarios to develop critical thinking skills. Many employment opportunities are available in industry, public accounting and government where graduates will work in a variety of roles.

Build on your diploma in human resources with this human resources advanced diploma program. You’ll acquire and demonstrate industry-standard skills and dive deeper into core HR functional areas: recruitment and selection, training and development, human resources planning, occupational health and safety, HR management, compensation and benefits and labour relations. You’ll also have the opportunity to apply to further develop your consulting skills with the option of substituting two courses for the intensive community consultancy program, working with live clients to solve real problems.

As a student in this program, you’ll take courses in the principles and practices of Insurance, risk management, essential skills for brokers/agents, leadership principles and practices, and professional communications. You’ll also analyze and apply complex liability policy and other miscellaneous liability coverages using different scenarios and case studies.

Courses will be enriched with hands-on integrated technology applications and case studies based on real-world scenarios.
