Subject: Learned Information on Professional Communication

Dear Melanie,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am writing to you to inform you about what I learned on professional communication from the Netiquette slideshow that was present in class.

The slide covered a wide variety of content on this topic. Therefore, I found there were topics of which I was already aware such as how essential it is to add greetings and closings. As well as things that I was not aware of, but I had already subconsciously applied to my writing such as the importance of a subject line or proofreading my writing and avoiding emoticons in a piece of professional communication. However, there were two things specifically that I did not know before that I learned from the Netiquette slideshow and those were to avoid using a different Font as well as sending and file copies of my emails to organize and keep a record of professional communications like emails.

I hope to apply all these skills to my present as well as my future professional communications.

I look forward to learning more from you.

Sincerely,

Uvbi Osatohangbon (Comm 201-L09)
