Introduction

About the Workbook

This workbook is an adaptation of the Spanish language textbook Introducción al Español, an Open Educational Resource by Prof. Rita Palacios. Its purpose is to complement the textbook by providing beginner-level college students with a range of interactive exercises to enhance their Spanish language skills.

The workbook is modeled after the unit structure and topics of Introducción al Español and consists of a variety of interactive H5P activities that can be easily integrated into a Learning Management System or course website for easy adoption. Many exercises include audio, images, and videos for a multimedia-rich learning experience that promotes retention and memorization of key vocabulary and grammar concepts. Some exercises also feature speech recognition (through the use of a microphone) for pronunciation practice in a relaxed format.

Readers are invited to provide feedback on this Open Educational Resource and share any concerns, suggestions, errata notes, or ideas for enhancements with the Open Learning Team at Conestoga College.
