Les nombres et les dates
Review the vocabulary words. Use the LRRL method (Listen, Repeat, Record (your voice), and Listen (to your voice recording compared to the original recording) to learn the following numbers. Repeat this method as many times as necessary until your pronunciation is the same as the original recording.
At this point, you already have an understanding of numbers in French. Therefore, it is simply a matter of learning the days of the week and the months to express dates. If you do not remember the numbers, please return to previous units or look them up on Google Translate or YouTube.
You will use the formula: [day of the week / jour de la semaine] [# of the day /# du jour] [month / mois] [year / année] (ex : mardi 15 mars 2022)
*The exception is the 1st of the month where instead of saying “lundi le 1 septembre 2024”, you would say “lundi le premier (the first) septembre 2024”.
In French, the days of the week (les jours de la semaine) and the months (les mois) are not capitalized, and the week (la semaine) begins on Monday (lundi).

Months and Dates
As mentioned above, the months (les mois) are also not capitalized in French. The date (la date) is written in the following manner: le + cardinal number + month. The only exception is the first of the month, which requires using an ordinal number (le premier/the first).
