Review the vocabulary words related to numbers. Use the LRRL method (Listen, Repeat, Record (your voice), and Listen (to your voice recording compared to the original recording) to learn the following numbers. Repeat this method as many times as necessary until your pronunciation is the same as the original recording.

Explanation

Thus far, the patterns for numbers have stayed the same. However, they differ slightly once we get to 70-79 and 90-99. For example, 70 will be pronounced soixante (60)-dix (10). Therefore, 70 will be the equivalent of saying 60 and 10 (60+10 = 70), 71 will be the equivalent of 60 and 11 (soixante et onze), so (60+11 = 71), and so on for the 70’s.

For the 80’s, it will be pronounced as 4 (quatre) x 20 (vingt), so you can think of it as 4X20 = 80. For 81, you will use the same formula and add a one at the end, so think of it as (4X20)+1= 81 (quatre-vingt-un) until we get to 89.

Once we get to 90 it is a mixture of the two formulas, so 4 (quatre) X 20 (vingt) + 11 (onze) = 91
