Reflection and Review

You have arrived at the end of the introductory course for Indigenous Workways. You have taken the time to learn about Indigenous world views and Indigenous histories on this land. With all of this knowledge you are now equipped with, take some time to conduct the following reflection about what you have learned. You can share this reflection with a coworker, or keep it to yourself as a reminder of your goals and progress throughout your work over the course of the year.

Take some time to reflect on what you have learned and how you have grown throughout this process. Do you feel more prepared to conduct your work responsibly, inclusively and with an Indigenous lens in mind?

Learning is an ongoing process. There are always more points of view to discuss and narratives to consider. You have reached a starting point with this onboarding, but it is important to continue to listen, learn, and grow throughout your studies and to continue this process in your daily life. Taking time for reflection is an important part of growth.

Pause and Reflect

  • How has your perspective of your place within your community and on the land changed throughout this course?
  • How will you incorporate what you have learned into your professional practice?
  • How do you hope to continue to grow over the coming year?

Move ahead for a few final thoughts on your journey with Indigenous Workways.
