21 Module 3: Introduction

To dissect the quandary of technoablism, we must foreground the narrative with a comprehension of what it entails. Technoablism derives from systemic prejudice that is built into technology and digital interfaces, often as a byproduct of design processes that overlook users with disabilities. Such exclusion not only impedes access but also propagates the deleterious presumption that individuals with disabilities are peripheral to the mainstream user base, an assumption that couldn’t be further from the truth. Hence,we must advocate for a more inclusive approach in technology design.
