Overview

Disabled and here is a disability-led collection of photos & icons licensed under Creative Commons Attribution licenses that provides a range of photos and illustrations “celebrating disabled Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC)”[1]. These fall under 5 sub-headings:

  1. Community
  2. LGBTQ+
  3. Life
  4. Nature
  5. Social Justice

Please note: 

When you click on a photo, it will bring you to a new page with a large copy of the image, a description, and an option to download the image. It will also provide you with the Image Usage & Credit information, including the exact wording for credit that can be given to the image. As these images are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license, you must give credit using the Image Usage & Credit information when using these photos or illustrations.

Additionally, the curators request that identity-first language is used, as in “disabled person” rather than person-first language, as in “person with a disability.”[2][/footnote]
