The three suns and two moons of Illyreon are worshipped by a group of believers across the land. While not practised by all, the events surrounding the religion have a heavy influence on the architecture and art within The Hub, as seen by the Sun Temples scattered across Illyreon. While most animal products do not share any direct religious connections, there is a limited range of food items that are influenced by the old religion and folklore. This includes some monsters that are hunted, and depending on their availability and difficulty to hunt, can even be seen as a delicacy.
The people of Illyreon do not fear all monsters on land, but the creatures that lurk within the waters are the exception, as they are the only monsters seen as hostile and create fear among the people. This fear came about after the Ruin, an event that took place after the magic of the old capital attracted these sea creatures onto the land, and destroyed everything. A military was established to prevent harm from happening again. This military is trained to hunt all monsters across Illyreon. Their weapons are often powered by magic-infused crystals called illyryite. These crystals not only power the weapons but all technology across Illyreon. Special permission is given to some people captured for magic use to infuse these crystals with magic which runs the trains, and all biometrically linked currency. This process of crystal infusion is the only use of Natural Magic permitted across the continent.

The destruction of the old capital by a sea monster accidentally summoned by the continuous use of magic within the city.
Mined from the mountains surrounding The Hub, these magic-infused crystals power technology across the Illyreon. Varying in size and shape, these crystals are clear in a non-magic state, and glow purple once infused. Illyryite crystals are also used to store Illyreon's wealth, with accessories tied to a citizen's biometrics.
Magic that courses through the world that is possessed by both people and monsters. Natural Magic has been outlawed by The Hub and can be honed with training.
