Technology on the mainland is important and used in everyday life. All technology runs on some form of magic-powered crystals called illyryite, varying in size and power depending on the task. The electricity throughout The Hub is created using illyryite, powering all systems such as lighting, heating, cooling, and for the higher class, their water pumps. The trains, the main transportation source, run at 12 kilometres per hour and connect the different sections of The Hub, as well as the many outside villages. They use larger pieces of these crystals to continuously power them, requiring fewer fuel stops. Currency (see Wealth Distribution) is transferred and connected to citizens through a personalized illyryite stone, made to only be useful to a citizen’s biometrics. Within The Hub, the illyryite is a status symbol, so customised jewellery and other types of holders are created to keep them safe. Technology such as weaponry on the mainland includes simple firearms, powered by and loaded by illyryite, used by the hunters/militia (see Military Influence). There are also a variety of sword, axe, and bow and arrow types, as well as a special hand-cuff-like restraint, created to prevent those arrested for magic use from casting on their arrestors and escaping.

Mined from the mountains surrounding The Hub, these magic-infused crystals power technology across the Illyreon. Varying in size and shape, these crystals are clear in a non-magic state, and glow purple once infused. Illyryite crystals are also used to store Illyreon's wealth, with accessories tied to a citizen's biometrics.
An arid city located in the centre of Illyreon. Governed by the Council, The Hub serves as the centre of trade for the continent.
