The Hub is fairly wealthy with illyryite (see Magic) making certain necessities work more efficiently. This makes it easier for people to focus on other goods and services. However, illyryite is a finite resource that The Hub is dependent on. If The Hub were to run out of illyryite, it could be catastrophic to the economy. Food is a moderately priced good as it is plentiful outside The Hub, and the illyryite-powered trains (see Technology Influence) make it easy for food to get to The Hub. The wealthier a person is, the more access they have in obtaining essential goods like water and food, whereas less wealthy people have a significantly more difficult time acquiring these goods.
As The Hub is considerably more wealthy than the remaining villages and settlements combined, which along with its infrastructure, has allowed it to become the centre of trade on Illyreon and the primary seat of power. Through this strength, it exerts control over the rest of the continent (see Agriculture and Trade).
An arid city located in the centre of Illyreon. Governed by the Council, The Hub serves as the centre of trade for the continent.
Mined from the mountains surrounding The Hub, these magic-infused crystals power technology across the Illyreon. Varying in size and shape, these crystals are clear in a non-magic state, and glow purple once infused. Illyryite crystals are also used to store Illyreon's wealth, with accessories tied to a citizen's biometrics.
