As a world infested with monsters, danger could lurk in any corner, in any field, or even blending in with society itself. The people of Illyeron have come to give these monsters a ranking as a way to deter (or entice) those who would encounter them. Using the ranks of I–V, citizens are made aware of the risks posed by the various creatures. The monsters are not the only threat in the world of Illyreon, an ever-present conflict wages beneath the surface holding the fragile power structures in an uneasy balance. While bloodless, this conflict is violently pervasive as classes and individuals vie for their own self-interests. While these threats challenge the harmony of Illyreon, deepening the division between the villages and The Hub, their presence compels unity among the citizens to survive.
