Program Modalities and Requirements
Delivery During COVID-19
Currently the program theory classes are a blend of learning at a distance/online delivery and face to face. The online delivery is synchronistic, meaning that classes are delivered a specific time however, professors record their sessions and course content is posted in electronic eCentennial course shells so you can listen to the classes and/or read content at your convenience.
The lab is face to face, scheduled on Mondays. Please ensure to wear comfortable, non-slip, close toe shoes and HESM program t-shirt which is available for purchase in the bookstore at the Morningside Campus.
These course delivery options will give you the flexibility.
Post-Pandemic Delivery
We are looking to keep some of our theory courses online to make it more convenient for students. Labs will continue to be scheduled face to face.
eImportant Note
Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the COVID-19 Student Information Centre for up-to-date information.
eCentennial
All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial and view the eCentennial Help- Video Tutorials.
