Goals
My goal is to become a certified nurse in four years by completing my BSN degree, gaining clinical experience, and passing the NCLEX exam. This can be achieved by attaining over a 60% in all of my classes with over all 65% average. Also doing well in different clinical placements. I will do this by working hard and having a strong work ethic. I will put my studies as a priority and limit by leisure time. I value my education and the importance of knowledge and hands on experience in my different placements through out the next 4 years. I will do my very best in each role in my nursing journey which will help me to achieve my goal.
I know the importance of communication in nursing. I do feel like I could improve on my communication skills. Therefore, my goal is to communicate more affectively and efficiently before I become a nurse, so that I can build trust with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. I can do this by actively practicing daily, seeking feedback from peers, or even taking a communications course to help improve my communication skills in the next year. This will help me to strengthen my abilities and work better as a team when assisting a patient. I know once I’ve improved in this skill I will also be a better leader and it will enhance my relationships with others.
