Nursing Philosophy

Nursing is caring for those who need help. It’s not only providing care but also giving care; it’s helping someone through a hard part of their lives, making a difference, and being someone a patient or family member can lean on for support. It’s putting aside differences and personal beliefs and providing care and support to everyone no matter their cultural beliefs, race, or religion. I believe that all patients should be treated with dignity and respect and they are entitled to the proper care they need. I believe that nursing is being able to support and advocate for paitents and to teach them about their health. I believe that to be a good nurse you must be able to show compassion and empathy on a day-to-day basis even in highly stressful environments.
