Philosophy Statement
“Remember: Nurses are like iceberg. At any one time, you are only seeing what they are actually doing” – Ian Miller
Nurses are an integral part of the health care system. Their dedication to providing excellent quality care often needs to be noticed, and they are undervalued in the media. Each nurse possesses an unseen power – the power to apply their knowledge to bring healing, growth or improvement, stability, and wellness to the patients under care. Caring for the many aspects of the spirit, such as emotional, physical, or mental, requires dedication and meticulous work, as well as the completion of a continuous or endless checklist. Nurses do the invisible- the constant work that goes unseen and unnoticed by society. Within this invisibility, nurses retain the power to touch the lives of each patient and, subsequently, many more.
