Welcome to The Group Dynamics of a School Project. In this play a group of College students are given a group project to complete. They are tasked to create a sculpture that represents the spirit of their college. Each student has their own roles, needs, and hopes. At the end of each scene your job will be to improvise an ending using the tools and skills you are learning about while staying in character.

Exercises

Everyone will be assigned a role

Read about your character

Read the scene to yourself first so you understand what is happening and what your character’s role is. Think about how your character would try and resolve the situation, keeping in mind your character’s needs and your goal of creating a positive group climate

Act out the scene with your group and improvise the ending

Answer the discussion questions at the end of each scene
