Nursing Values 3 – Integrity

Integrity includes moral standards and fundamental values including honesty, trust, accountability, respect, and justice.(Hemberg & Salmela, 2021). Building trust with patients, coworkers, and the medical community as a nurse requires displaying honesty and integrity. I got an award for honesty and integrity during my college years in my first career. (Find attached an additional artifact). I am applying this same skill to my nursing career. Always provide patients with accurate and sincere information. I Keep all patient information in absolute confidence. Never expose patient information or medical records without consent or for collaborative care. Delivering safe, high-quality patient care depends on honesty, a key part of nursing practice. I respect each patient as an individual and respect their cultural differences.
