Are you ready to share your competence in offering CHANGEMAKING educational opportunities for your students and /or your peers? Apply for your emerging, performing and / or transforming badges and be one step closer to earning your Innovative Georgian College Faculty Certificate.
Badge 1: EMERGING CHANGEMAKERFaculty who are PRACTICING CHANGEMAKING at an EMERGING level might demonstrate the following: o Define empathy and consider its role in teaching and learning. o Connect relationship building to their field and teaching practice. o Explore the various competencies associated with leadership. o Identify ways to be a changemaker. Questions to consider: Are you aligned with these statements? Or can you make a case for others? Can you tell your story to demonstrate your competence? Do you have artefacts to share?

Badge 2: PERFORMING CHANGEMAKERFaculty who are PRACTICING CHANGEMAKING at a PERFORMING level may do the following: o Use empathy when creating course-related materials, course schedule, and teaching and learning activities. o Cultivate student ability to collaborate by intentionally focusing on relationships. o Scaffold opportunities for your students to practice sharing leadership. o Embed experiential learning opportunities for students to practice changemaking. Questions to consider: Are you aligned with these statements? Or can you make a case for others? Can you tell your story to demonstrate your competence? Do you have artefacts to share? |

Badge 3: TRANSFORMING CHANGEMAKERFaculty who are PRACTICING CHANGEMAKING at a TRANSFORMING level may do the following: o Model the use of an empathetic lens in the community. o Collaborate with peers to solve a problem and affect positive change. o Demonstrate sharing leadership in their teaching profession and/or field. o Share ideas about how to incorporate changemaking into teaching. Questions to consider: Are you aligned with these statements? Or can you make a case for others? Can you tell your story to demonstrate your competence? Do you have artefacts to share? |
