Round 4
Final household decision
Goal
To gain final Safety Points and make the final decision: stay at home or go to the community shelter.
All household members return to their original groups. If possible, community members will join a household they have not yet visited.
Each household has gathered (and mapped) all the information it can gather about last night’s air raid and recording this information on the Evidence Worksheet.
Now it is time to do a final evaluation and decide on the household plan in the event of another air raid this evening: does everyone stay at home or go to the community air raid shelter in the Cheetham Hill Assembly Rooms at 111 Cheetham Hill Road.
Moderators
Continue to use the following instructions to guide the conversation so that your group has enough information to answer these questions and make a final decision:
- Will there be another bombardment and, if so, when?
- Should you move back to the community air raid shelter or stay in your own homes another night?
Complete the Evidence Report.
Notetakers: Record your household’s final results on the Evidence Report that the game master will distribute.
In this round, you consolidate what you know and can gain more safety points by:
- Competing in the timed mini rounds to record the information you gathered in Rounds 1, 2, and 3.
- Rolling the die to either gain or lose points.
-
-
Score 1: Lose a (1) point because the household all their rations of tea.
-
Score 2: Gain a (1) point because the household still has 6 ounces of tea left.
-
Score 3: Lose (3) three points because a household (or community) member lost their Identity Card.
-
Score 4: Gain (4) four points because all household (or community) members have their Identity Cards.
-
Score 5: Gain (5) five points because the blackout curtains were closed on time.
-
Score 6: Lose (6) six points because the black out curtains were not closed on time. Household fined £100.
-
- Add or subtract your Safety Points from these mini rounds to the original safety points (as altered from Rounds 1, 2, and 3).
Decide and gain rewards
Resolve the challenges faced by your household and come to a consensus as a group as to where you will take shelter. Remember: no household member can be left behind.
