Round 5
In this round, you determine your fate: do you live or die? Your outcome is based on your address and a roll of the dice.
Supplies
- A set of blackout dice
- A map of Manchester, divided into grid squares (provided in class)
Instructions
Round 5 is broken into two phases:
- Phase 1: Determine where the bombs fall if there is a second bombardment
- Phase 2: Determine the outcome of a second bombardment
Phase 1: Roll to determine bombardment locations
- Households take turns rolling the two coloured dice to determine the coordinates of where a single bomb falls.
- Place a fire marker where the two coloured dice intersect on the map of Manchester to mark where a bomb falls.
- If a household location does not correspond to a bomb hit, then everyone in the household lives.
- If any of the households or the community shelter are hit, move on to Phase 2.
Phase 2: Outcome of bombardments
Stay-at-home households
- For households that stay at home and are hit by a bomb, roll a single six-sided dice to determine the final outcome of the bombardment.
- Information will be provided in class to determine the outcome.
Community shelter households
- For households that go to the community shelter, roll a single six-sided dice to determine the final outcome of the bombardment.
- Information will be provided in class to determine the outcome.
