Author Biographies
Azim Abbas, MSc (Engineering), MBA, BSc (Hons) Grad Cert SCM
Azim Abbas is a seasoned Supply Chain and Operations Management professional with extensive experience in academia and industry. He currently serves as a full-time faculty member at Fanshawe College as a Coordinator of the Operations Management program. Azim has held significant roles in various organizations, and his extensive professional experience spans significant roles in the aviation and maritime industries, where he managed global logistics and operations. His academic credentials include an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology from the University of Liverpool and an MBA. Azim’s diverse background and expertise make him a valuable contributor to the field of supply chain and operations management.
Seyed A. Goosheh, PhD., P.Mgr., C.Mgr
Schooled in Industrial Engineering, Business and Industrial Management, and worked with Fanshawe and St. Clair College, Universities of Guelph, Western and Nipissing. As Industrial Liaison for St. Clair, he was involved in corporate training/consultation in auto manufacturing and led global development teams at Volvo Motor Graders, International Truck and Engine, and Navistar Canada. Later managed the operations and projects of the Center of Agricultural Renewable Energy and Sustainability at University of Guelph. Prior to migrating to Canada, had held senior positions in combined international transportation operations directing port, land and marine operations while providing logistic support for international trade between Iran, Europe, Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia and Far East while teaching at numerous management and engineering schools.
