Program Modalities and Requirements
Lecture courses for the 2021-2022 academic year will likely be delivered virtually, through a combination of synchronous (eg. Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and asynchronous (pre-recorded lectures and interactive learning) formats. Laboratory courses will likely be delivered on campus, however, an official decision will not be made until June 2021.
Delivery During COVID-19
The institutional decision regarding Fall 2021 modality in light of COVID-19 will be announced on June 1, 2021.
Post-Pandemic Delivery
Our standard delivery is face-to-face, on campus. All lectures take place on Progress Campus. All laboratory classes take place in the Athletic and Wellness Centre (AWC) at Progress Campus. We deliver two hybrid lecture courses (noted in our model route), that provide a mix of on campus and virtual/online (off-campus) delivery. You should also expect that faculty will be willing to deliver some virtual/online content even in face-to-face lecture courses.
Important Note
Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the COVID-19 Student Information Centre for up-to-date information.
eCentennial
All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial and view the eCentennial Help- Video Tutorials.
