Program Modalities and Requirements

Some of the courses within the Food Service Worker program will be in person, on campus (Progress & Morningside) and some will be taught as ‘Teaching at a Distance’ (TAD) and FSWR 106 (placement) has a healthcare site placement component along with virtual classroom support. The classrooms will be accessed through eCentennial either through the Microsoft Teams app or Virtual Classroom. Look for an email from each of your professors for first day, first week instructions on how to access the classroom. It is strongly recommended that students participate in Centennial College orientation activities which are scheduled the week before classes start, as this will assist with learning how to navigate within the eCentennial platform.

Important Note

Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the college website for up-to-date information. https://www.centennialcollege.ca/together-again-summer/

eCentennial

All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial.
