Part 1
Listen and read along, then answer the questions.
Hello! My name is Anna, and I want to tell you about my typical day.
I usually wake up at 6:30 AM. Before I get out of bed, I stretch and check the weather. Then I get dressed and wash my face. I eat breakfast around 7:30. I usually eat eggs and toast. Sometimes I have oatmeal with fruit and yogurt. I always drink coffee! While I am drinking my coffee, I like to read. I usually have a book beside me. I love reading! After breakfast, I brush my teeth, pack my lunch, and go to work.
I work in an office. It’s not far from my apartment, so I walk. I enjoy walking to work because it is good exercise, and it gives me energy for the day! I like my job because the work is interesting, and my co-workers are nice. At noon I have lunch. I usually eat leftovers from my dinner the night before. Sometimes I go out for lunch with a co-worker.
At 5:00 PM, my workday is finished. I don’t like to go straight home. On my way home, I often stop at the grocery store to get some vegetables for my dinner. Sometimes I meet my friends at a café. On Tuesdays, I go to my art class where I am learning to paint!
When I arrive at home, I cook dinner. I usually eat dinner around 7. After dinner, I like to do something relaxing. I watch TV, read a book, or call my family on the phone. I go to bed at 11:00 PM. This is my typical day. It’s a simple life, but it’s a good life.
