The Notre Dame House and Community Outreach Services is a non-profit program supported by Good Shepherd Hamilton. The program is located at 14 Cannon St West. Well-known nearby locations include James Street North, where popular summer festivals such as Art Crawl are held every year.

The Notre Dame House and Community Outreach Services are responsible for supporting street-involved and homeless youth in the Hamilton area. The 24-hour emergency shelter has 21 beds available for youth aged 16-21. Resources available include help with getting back into school, finding employment, assistance obtaining or replacing identification (ID), access to housing workers, and help with applying for or maintaining social assistance. They also provide a hot meal program, access to mental health and medical care, recreational and life skills programming, early diversion, and family mediation. Notre Dame House partners with several organizations in the community to support youth in different areas. Partnerships include, but are not limited to, the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre, the Young Parents Network, and St. Joseph’s Hospital (Good Shepherd Notre Dame House, n.d.).
