Permission of the Copyright Holder (Generic) – PG

Description

The copyright holder of this work has granted permission for its use in this publication. No further permission of any kind is implied by this notice.

Explanation

Section 3 of the Copyright Act states that:

For the purposes of this Act, copyright, in relation to a work, means the sole right to produce or reproduce the work or any substantial part thereof in any material form whatever, to perform the work or any substantial part thereof in public or, if the work is unpublished, to publish the work or any substantial part thereof … and to authorize [emphasis added] any such acts.

Section 27 of the Copyright Act states that:

It is an infringement of copyright for any person to do, without the consent of the owner of the copyright, anything that by this Act only the owner of the copyright has the right to do.

The use of the copyright-protected content in publication was authorized by the copyright holder and is therefore non-infringing.
