Changes from Adapted Text

The following changes were made from the adapted OpenStax text:

• • Section 4.9 Friction (originally section 5.1) added to Chapter 4, with figures, tables, and examples renumbered accordingly.
• Chapter 4 Dynamics: Force and Newton’s Laws of Motion is a combination of OpenStax Chapters 4 & 5.
• Chapter 5 Uniform Circular Motion and Gravitation was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 6, and some sub-sections (6.4 and 6.6) were removed.
• Chapter 6 Work, Energy, and Energy Resources was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 7.
• Chapter 7 Statics and Torque was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 9.
• Chapter 8 Rotational Motion and Angular Momentum was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 10, and some sub-sections (10.6-10.7) were removed.
• Chapter 9 Fluid Statics was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 11.
• Chapter 10 Fluid Dynamics and Its Biological and Medical Applications, was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 12, and sub-sections (12.5-12.7) were removed.
• Chapter 11 Temperature and Thermal Expansion was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 1,3, and sub-sections (13.3-13.6) were removed. The chapter title was changed.
• Chapter 12 Heat and Heat Transfer Methods was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 14
• Chapter 13 Oscillatory Motion and Waves was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 16
• Chapter 14 Physics of Hearing was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 17
• Chapter 15 Electric Charge and Electric Field was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 18
• Chapter 16 Electric Current, Resistance, and Ohm’s Law is a combination of OpenStax Chapters 20 & 21
• Chapter 17 Magnetism was reordered from OpenStax Chapter 22
