Program Pathways and Certifications
Exit Options
After completing the Health Studies and Communication Skills program as an English and Health Studies strengthening program many students may decide to go on to enroll in the Practical Nursing program, Practical Nursing program for Internationally Educated Nurses, Bridging RPN to Degree programs, as well as other health care fields like Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physiotherapy Assistant, or Pharmacy Technology Assistant if they have met the admission requirements to do so. These are some of the programs available after graduating if students meet the admission requirements for the individual programs within Centennial College. Admission into other programs are not guaranteed and again depends on admission requirements and seat capacity.

Specialized Academic Certificates
You can use your General Education (GNED) elective courses to fulfill the requirements for a Specialized Academic Certificate. Specialized Academic Certificate programs provide an opportunity for students registered in a Diploma or Advanced Diploma program to earn an additional Centennial College Certificate concurrently with their diploma. In order to obtain a Specialized Academic Certificate, you must successfully complete GNED500 plus the three GNED courses required by the Specialized Academic Certificate program. The GNED courses will also fulfill the elective GNED requirements of the diploma program. There are currently three Specialized Academic Certificate programs:
- Indigenous Studies: First Peoples in Canada,
- Inclusive Leadership Practices, and
- Entrepreneurism
