Welcome from the Dean – School of Community and Health Studies
Hello, I’m Véronique Henry, the Dean of the School of Community and Health Studies.
To new learners, welcome to the Centennial family; to those returning, we are glad to have you back; and to all of you, welcome to the School of Community and Health Studies.
You are joining an elite team, in a school dedicated to helping you become professionals in industries that the public relies on for healthcare, child and youth care, public safety, well-being, justice and emergency services.
At the School of Community and Health Studies, You can look forward to accessible, diverse, experiential learning and powerful educational pathways.
You will find, in person and simulated labs, field placements, hybrid, hyflex and online learning modalities. Faculty who are innovative, collaborative and supportive scholars, here to help you succeed. Success Advisors, support staff and an administrative team to provide you with connections and support across the College and who work every day put the Community in Community and Health Studies.
As you explore this handbook, you will find tools and information about your programs as well as policies and important contacts. Soak it all in, and please reach out and ask questions.
WEB Dubois once said that Education must not simply teach work it must teach life. Your educational journey with the School of Community and Health Studies is another step in the life you are building for yourself and we are privileged to join you on that journey.
