Some of your courses may employ virtual conferencing or collaboration platforms for the class session. Others may be completely in-person courses but expect you to communicate with peers outside of class time. Especially since the start of the COVID pandemic in 2019, there has been an increase in the knowledge students are required to have about interacting in video meetings.
The platform used (Zoom, Teams, Skype, etc.) does not matter as much as basic video etiquette does.
